Holiday Recycling

Look what I got in the mail today from a fellow Zibbeter. After I made a shop banner and business card for Nancy of Millions of Stitches , she asked me if I could use her old Christmas cards she had saved. I said, "sure, I'll make buttons out of them." They came in the mail yesterday. So far, I have made a Snowman Button Collection. Other collections to come.

Danielle has passed us by, Earl, now a Cat 4, might just skim the US, but he keeps ducking lower. Fiona remains to be seen, but is also projected to curve north.

Art Supplies Galore: Look what our neighbors gave us

This should keep my daughter, The Purple Rat, busy painting for a while.
Neighbor contacted me and asked if she would like some more art supplies. We had bought some at their yard sale last year and then they have given us even more when the sale ended.

Yesterday they told us to come and get the rest of it.

WOW! A big wood easel, 1 portable metal easel, and small metal tabletop easel, a folding stool, piles and piles of canvases, paints, pastels, quality brushes, and more.

We moved it from the truck to the porch and snapped some photos before bringing it all into the house.

My Zibbet Dish is the Perfect Size to Hold My Figs Until They Ripen

I have a lovely fig tree I planted when I had the house built. It gives me a few handfuls of figs 2x a year. I have to be quick, though, and get them before the birds do. I am sure the birds get more than I do. That's okay because I like birds.

Some days just don't go as planned...

My day was well outlined on a legal pad yesterday and that day went as planned but today I have nothing crossed off my extensive list. I got a message from a local woman about a little 7 year old boy who suddenly died just a few days ago and the family has no money or insurance to cover his burial.

She wanted to know if I would make some buttons to donate. Of course, I said yes.
